How to claim a task from a startable UI without reloading the Process Portal ?

Process portal is showing list of all AD users under stream option. I want limited user to be searched based on role, under stream option of task context menu icon through '@username'.

I checked in task stream control of responsive portal component toolkit, but didn't find any helpful.

One of the option is in process admin for users you can configure default page and once they login the page is redirected to the link configured in process admin portal user profile configurations.

(c) Tasks are children of (a) tasks too. I called "http://ip/portal/jsp/inject?bpdinstance=piid&action=i&flowObjId=(a)task-bpdid" . But i failed. And I try called "http://ip/portal/jsp/inject?bpdinstance=piid&action=i&flowObjId=(c)task-bpdid". Also failed. How can I do?

By saving searches, you can provide Process Portal users with customized views of their tasks, for example, to include specific business data. Saved searches are displayed in the Saved Searches tab of the Process Portal interface.

About this task
In addition, the Tasks and Processes widgets in Business Space use saved searches to list process instances, and tasks.

The Saved Search Admin BPM system application (SSA) contains the human service that allows users to create saved searches. The human service is exposed as an administrative service, in order for it to appear within the Process Admin console.

A saved search with a filter on USER_NAME filters all unclaimed tasks, independent of the operator. A filter on USER_NAME != 'LSW_NO_BODY_LSW' returns only claimed tasks of the current user.

To enable the globalization of saved search names, use localization keys for the Process Portal application. Define the keys in Process Designer by expanding Process Portal, clicking Setup, and opening the resource bundle group called ProcessPortal. Consider the following guidance:
Do not use special characters (for example: * or !)other than a period.
Start the saved search name with a letter.
Do not use more than 30 characters.
After you add a key to a resource bundle group that you want to use in a saved search, restart Process Center and restart the server.
For Process Server, use a resource bundle group that is in the default Process Portal version. Restart Process Server after the snapshot is activated.
If you define a value for a localization key, define a default value. Defining a default value prevents the problem of the Organize tabs list displaying blank items for the saved search names when Process Portal users sign in with a language that is not part of your Process Portal globalization plan.
Use localization keys in the following format: savedsearch.label.name_of_saved_search.
Procedure
In the Server Admin area of the Process Admin Console, click Saved Search Admin.
Save a search.
In the Select Search section, select Define New Search, click Select, and name the saved search.
Choose the columns that are displayed in the search results by clicking Add in the Columns section.
Set the search conditions by clicking Add in the Conditions section. The search conditions determine which tasks are shown on the Saved Searches tab in Process Portal.
The conditions that are available depend on the column type that you select. For example, if you want to provide Process Portal users with a saved search that shows the tasks that they own, under Column Type, select Task and then select Assigned to User from the list of conditions.

Select the columns that you want to sort the results by, and then select the sort order.
Go to the Search Organized By list and select Task. If you select ProcessInstance from the list, only the first task of the process instance that matches the search criteria is returned.
Restriction
In Process Portal, users do not see a search box for saved searches that are organized by process instance.
Test the search to make sure that it returns the results that you were expecting by clicking Search.
Click Save New Search to make the search available in Process Portal and Business Space.
Update an existing saved search. Select a search from the list in the Select Search section and click Select. Change the search criteria, and save the search.

I have not come across a live web application based on Process Portal facing internet or web published, there have been couple of POCs and Prototypes built but following are the concerns regarding such exposure

1. Security concerns, running a rational appscan or other vulnerability scanners against the Process Portal has revealed significant security vulnerabilities.

2. The security concerns can only be addressed by the web application itself which is a OOB application and since source code is not available cannot be customized.

3. The level of scaling and infrastructure needed will be tremendous if it is has lets say a user base of 1000+ and approx 100+ concurrent usages. I have seen the infrstructure fail at even 100 users and 10+ concurrent users even with four nodes. But there are lot of factors involved and configuration in performance.

4. some of the security concerns can be alleviated by using Cloud based Reverse Proxies and Web Application Firewalls e.g. provided by amazon and cloudflare, but real truth will emerge if AppScan is run outside the WAFs, also some enterprises have sophisticated security gateways which can filter out the security threats also the WAF/OWASP rules will need to be customized to not hinder functionality while ensuring security.

5. Licensing may also be an issue not sure how internet user licensing will work.

6. Features like user provisioning etc may need to be custom built.

7. CDN based delivery of static resources can offload a lot of performance impact though.

Process Portal is already available as a Process App and you can add yourself as a admin to it, but all the artifacts of the Process Portal are not available it only a Resource Bundle is available which can be used to customize locales and Messages on Process Portal.

In the LSW_PROJECT table there is a IS_HIDDEN column which hides one Process App namely "Ad-hoc Reports" with the acronym "ADHOC" and then able to access the Reporting resources inside it. But please check licensing terms before replicating them , I guess learning how adhoc reports are built is ok though.

You can add the Dashboard Toolkit as a dependency and then if you click on the filter for coach controls on a coach editor you will see additional options for adding dashboard and other controls to the available palette

For a listing and description of all the controls available and how you can use them use this link, ideally you make copies of these controls in your process app and modify them as needed before using them
