Case management is a specialized type of workflow and can leverage a lot from the Process Management capabilities of IBM BPM. Case management has a predefined application framework and a skeleton User Interface available out of the box. Cases can be event driven as well as process driven. A Case solution uses the concepts of properties, case types, pages(predefined template UIs), documents etc to quickly construct a full fledged case application.
