BPMN stands for Business Process Markup Notation and is a notation specifying how to draw a business process and holds the rules to which we have to adhere while drawing such a diagram

BPEL is a xml based language used to define Enterprise Business processes, purpose of BPEL is to standardize Business Process flow so seamless integration can happen across different companies using web services

You can export a snapshot in BPMN 2.0 format as well as import a BPMN 2.0 compliant application from other vendor products
