I need a simple breadcrumb progress bar which show which step in the process we are on and which ones have been completed it should be configurable with the name of the steps

A simple way is to create the css styling and the html and place it in a custom html, more advanced versions can make use of the dojo progress bar control and create a custom control for it. This is a simple example using custom html and some css, you can initialize the array of string which is input to the service with your own names for the tasks and then specify which is the current task to generate the progress bar
