How can we make the hostname for our web service invocations dynamic?

For our mediation modules, How can we make the hostname for our web service invocations dynamic for different environments e.g. DEV, TEST, PROD ?

In the endpoint address field of the Web Service Integration component (in an Integration Service) it is possible to write a javascript expression between <# ... #> to evaluate a variable (for example tw.local.endpointurl) with the dynamic endpoint adress. This variable can also be an environment variable configured in a different way for the different environments.
