What are the possible reasons for Process Server not being able to connect to Process Center?

sometimes we see error in the logs that unable to connect to Process Center repository or it shows partiially connected what are the reasons for that and how to resolve them

We have seen two reasons for this behaviour 

1. the signer certificate is not present in CellDefaultTrust Store, you need to add the PS signer to PC and PC signer to PS, you can do retrieve from port.

2. You have specified a context root in the Process Server Definition, you may think that the context root setting is /ProcessCenter but it should be left blank.
